Just had possibly the best pub meal ever. Big hearty meal which was 1st class in terms of presentation. Will most certainly be returning for more in the future.
Had a lovely gluten free fish & chips, the staff was very helpful and went through the menu to tell me what I could have that was gluten free.
Called in for a few drinks at this bar and it was busy.The beer was very good and it shows sports on its many tv s.This bar follows rugby as shown by its photos and flags on the walls and ceilings.We never stayed in the hotel rooms.
The food served here is really nice, British pub type. Had haddock and chips, would definitely recommend. Staff is also very kind and helpful.
Set at the end of the main street in the heart of Dunbar the Castle Hotel is a stone's throw from the town's harbour and just over the road there is a newsagent which comes as a garden centre too and the local Co-Op is not much further up the road, the hotel has clean rooms which also have a microwave, fridge and kettle along with utensils, there is great bar with both very friendly staff and locals and a good wide ranging choice of beverages to suit all, there is a restaurant in the same building called Black Agnes which I called in for a Sunday meal which was very nice to say the least so overall very pleased to stay here and would definitely come again.
Absolutely fantastic nice rooms warm very clean breakfast was brilliant staff were very welcoming sea view from the room was great I give a 10 out of 10
What a great atmosphere and superb looked after ale
Me my mum and my Gran went on a daytrip to Dunbar. We were looking for some good "Pub Grub" and this was definetly the right place to go! The fish was lovely and very fresh and the chips were really nice. They serve lots of fresh local produce and it's all served very quickly :). The toilets weren't as good as the service sadly, one of the doors lacked a handle and the toilets could've done with a bit of a Summer clean! Overall however the food was lovely and it was a great service! I'd definetly recommend dropping by if your visiting Dunbar.
Dog friendly Great looking place. Nice staff. Cannot fault apart from not serving food. Small price to pay for a nice pub.
We arrived in the evening on a busy easter weekend after we`ve been ripped off by "No5 Duke Street". After explaining our situation, the hotel crew directly prepared a lovely room for us with everything you need. They really helped us out. We had a great dinner and an amazing breakfast next morning. Very nice place.
